What is coaching?

Coaching works on the premise that you have the answer to your problems, challenges and issues. Through questioning, reflection, clarifying and support, I help you to uncover your own answers, unlock your potential, gain clarity on what you want and what could be holding you back. This helps you to get the results you are looking for.
Coaching focuses on ‘here and now’, future possibilities and actions to move forward.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses a deeply relaxed state (sometimes referred to as a trance) to turn your attention completely inward, so that you can find and use your natural resources deep within to help you make changes or regain control in certain areas of your life.

This can help you find meaningful alternatives to your present unsatisfactory ways of thinking, feeling or behaving. It can also help you become more accepting of yourself and others and it can be most useful in promoting personal development and unlocking inner potential.

What happens when I am in a trance?

A trance is very much like a meditation, being absorbed in a book or movie or just your own thoughts. You will:

  • feel very relaxed
  • be able to talk if you want to
  • remain fully in control

If you wish, you can bring yourself out of the trance at any point. It’s totally up to you if you wish to act on anything that is said.

OK, let’s dispel some myths!

Don’t worry, I will not be getting out a stop watch, dangling it in front of you and saying, “Look into my eyes.” This idea is probably taken from scenes in old Hollywood films.

What you see on stage and TV, where individuals act like chickens while hypnotised, is stage hypnosis, not hypnotherapy.

A hypnotised person cannot be made to do anything against their usual ethical or moral judgement or religious belief. It is completely up to you to act on anything that is said.

Where can I receive coaching from you?

For career change coaching and wellbeing coaching, I work from my studios in Beckenham (BR3) in Kent, or remotely via Skype.

Where hypnotherapy is included, this is face-to-face only in Beckenham (BR3), Kent.

How many sessions will I need?

That really depends on you and the issues we are working on. I can give you some idea on that in your free “Getting to know you call”. Everybody is different and some need more coaching than others.

I go at your pace; you can have weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions. What would work best for you? At the end of each session, we’ll book in the next one.

How long does a session last?

Coaching sessions last one hour. Hypnotherapy sessions are sometimes slightly longer, up to 1.5 hours, depending on what we are working on that day. I will discuss this with you in your initial call.
